Q1

Q1 — January to March

Jan · Feb · Mar

  • 15 JanuaryEstimated
    Q4 estimated payment due

Last quarterly payment for the prior tax year. Required if you have non-withheld US-source income (rental, self-employment, K-1).

  • 31 JanuaryFiling
    W-2s and 1099s issued

Employers and US payers must furnish W-2s and most 1099s to recipients by this date — keep an eye on your mailbox or US payroll portal.

  • 15 MarchBusiness
    S-Corp & partnership returns

Form 1120-S and Form 1065 are due. Most cross-border S-Corp owners file an extension via Form 7004 by this date.

Q2

Q2 — April to June

Apr · May · Jun

  • 15 AprilFiling

If your tax home and abode were both outside the US on 15 April, your filing deadline is automatically pushed to 15 June. No form required, but you still owe interest on unpaid tax from 15 April.

Second quarterly payment for the current year.

Q3

Q4

Q4 — October to December

  • 15 OctoberFBAR
